Students work in teams to produce produce for the school cafeteria, local restaurants and community buyers.

The Fish

Tilapia is grown in our systems. Students have successfully produced multiple groups of new fish with their breeding colonies. They continue to grow to size, until they will be added to our systems. When older fish reach around 2 pounds, they are sold to make delicious, locally grown fish fillets!

Rainbow trout are in one experimental system.

Students have daily work in order to maintain water chemistry, fish health, system productivity and plant production.  Each system has undergone different modifications by the students in order to meet the needs of our continued growth plan.
